Review before manufacturing
The recipe engine maps order options to a bill of materials. Unresolved options enter a needs-review queue so a person can correct the mapping before the job advances.
Repeatable order ingestion
Order and line-item upserts retain their external identities across repeated syncs. A normalized channel interface keeps Shopify-specific payloads separate from recipe resolution.
Transactional plate assignment
Plate composition records plates and job assignments in one database transaction. Worker claims use PostgreSQL row locks with SKIP LOCKED and expiring leases to coordinate concurrent workers.
A worker inside the shop
The slicer worker pulls work over outbound HTTPS, resolves local model files, invokes Bambu Studio, and reports slicing estimates or failures. The shop PC does not need an inbound service.
My contribution
Built order ingestion, a configurable recipe engine, and a dashboard for print-job review and prioritization.
Mapped product options to printable parts, hardware, materials, and colors.
Implemented plate composition and a pull-based worker that integrates with the Bambu Studio CLI.
Results
Order intake, recipe resolution, manual review, and plate composition connected in one workflow.
Implemented a slicer-worker handoff with completion and failure reporting; physical printer operation is a separate integration step.
