Shared scheduling · Real product with demonstration data Conflict-free scheduling
PostgreSQL transaction locks protect the booking operation when requests arrive at the same time, preventing conflicting reservations.
Tenant-scoped authorization
Authorization is scoped to each community and its leadership roles, with approval workflows and audit logs supporting administrative work.
Recoverable notifications
Persistent SMS queues retain pending work across failures. Retries recover delivery attempts, while deduplication prevents repeated workflow notifications.
Tests against the database
Database-backed API tests complement unit tests so critical behavior is checked against actual persistence. GitHub Actions runs the checks.
My contribution

- Maintain unit tests and database-backed API tests through GitHub Actions.
Results
- A production platform serving approximately 250 active unique users as of October 2026.
- Scheduling, volunteer signups, approvals, and notifications supported in one application.
